A new bridge on the West Highland Way has been installed near Derrydarroch in memory of our dear friend John Kynaston.
John’s family, friends and the ultra-running community organised a crowdfunder to raise £20,000 for the replacement bridge, just north of Beinglas Farm in Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park. The original bridge was washed away in a severe storm in 2019.
A small gathering took place on Friday 30th April to mark the official opening of the bridge. John’s wife Katrina, daughter Laura, sister Sue and representatives from WHW Race and the Loch Lomond and Trossach National Park Authority attended.
