2012 Race - Update on Entry Process
There were 259 entries for the 2012 race. We have now reviewed these, and
have identified 21 entrants who we feel do not have sufficient experience to be
given a place in the 2012 race. Hopefully these people will gain more experience
throughout 2012, and will enter again for a future race.
We have decided to accept the remaining 238 entrants to the 2012 race.
We believe we can do this and still be confident that the starting field will
not exceed 200, as there will inevitably be withdrawals between now and race day.
As a result of this we will not allocate any further places until the number of people
on the start list falls below 200. In the event that the entry list falls below 200,
we would consider accepting late entries. If you wish to be considered for such
a place should the opportunity arise, please e-mail me at
ianbeattie@westhighlandwayrace.org.
If at any stage you need to withdraw from the 2012 race, please advise me
by e-mail at the same address as above. If your withdrawal is advised on or
before 31 May 2012, £55 of your entry fee will be refunded. No refunds will
be made for withdrawals advised after 31 May 2012.

Message from Ian Beattie re race refunds ....
'I am very aware that there are still a number of people who withdrew from the 2011 race
prior to 1 June but have not yet received a refund. If you are in this category, please
accept my sincere apologies for the delay. We had a number of problems with the Paypal
entry system (and won't be using it again) but these have now been resolved, and I expect
to be in a position to get a refund to everyone due within the next couple of weeks. Once
that is done there shouldn't be anything else to do for the 2011 race, and I'll be able to
